- To provide free and accessible Comprehensive medical care and management of sickle Cell Disease to the Vulnerable patients suffering social-economic and physical challenges associated with Sickle Cell Disease, relieving pain and reducing the episodes of Sickle Cell Crisis thus increasing their participation in public life as other citizens with constitutionally mandated rights.
- To increase accessibility to Sickle cell Disease and Trait confirmatory testing (Hemoglobin Electrophoresis Test) which is a general problem that stands up to date due to the very high cost of testing and limited availability and accessibility to the service through the installation of a Hemoglobin Electrophoresis Machine at the Hope for Sickle Cell Clinic and extending the service to our partner health units.
- To increase access to quality and correct information about sickle cell disease thus raising Awareness about the disease and clearing myths about the disease through aggressive Sensitization.
- To promote healthy living and encourage health seeking behaviours among communities through continuous community involvement in the project and capacity building thus enhancing prevention of preventable non communicable diseases like Sickle Cell Disease.
- To enhance research about Sickle Cell Disease that will yield appropriate and applicable findings for use in designing new strategies and policy in the prevention, management treatment of Sickle Cell Disease.
